L’ville Protests Descend Into Chaos After Three People Are Shot By Member Of ‘NFAC’ Militia’s Negligent Discharge
Opinion| Any responsible gun owner will tell you that safety is, hands down, the most important part of owning a gun. A Negligent Discharge (ND) can kill people and are not mistakes that can be tolerated.
If you are in the Army and training with live munitions and have a ND, don’t be surprised if you see your rank dropped.
Look, I’m all for more people owning firearms, as long as they understand that their ownership comes with a lot of responsibility. Owning a gun, never mind carrying a loaded weapon, especially with a live round chambered is not something a novice gun owner should ever consider doing.
If you have not mastered trigger control, and put your finger on the trigger … please stop, and don’t touch a gun again until you have mastered this simple concept with a fake weapon.
If you have your weapon’s safety switch set to ‘fire’ when not actively firing the weapon … don’t carry a gun.
If you point a weapon at something, or someone, that you don’t intend on destroying (and taking the responsibility that comes with taking such action) you shouldn’t own a gun.
If your friends do these things with their weapons, make new friends and never let your kids to go over to the offender’s house alone. Chances are this is not the only sacrilege he is committing with his weapons.
Why am I so worked up about the responsibility that comes with owning a deadly weapon? Because all it takes is a few idiots to make potentially deadly mistakes with their guns for the media and tyrants in the government to revamp their pitch to take guns away from the responsible gun owners, who make the up vast majority of people exercising their right to bear arms.
Fox News explained:
‘Gunshots erupted during a planned protest in Louisville, Ky., Saturday and three members of the heavily armed militia group, the “Not F—ing Around Coalition” (NFAC), were injured by shots fired from one of their own member’s guns, police told Fox News.
The shooting took place near Baxter Square Park around 1 p.m. and all of the victims were transported to the University of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) told Fox News.’
Jessie Cohen, a reporter for the local ABC affiliate WHAS11, tweeted:
‘BREAKING: We just watched two people be taken onto stretchers at Baxter square on 12th and Jefferson. Metro safe has confirmed reports of shootings & that there are multiple victims. We heard the noises when people scattered to get behind cars, & to take a knee @WHAS11 #nightteam‘

Fox’s headline ‘Louisville protests descend into chaos when armed protester accidentally shoots members of his group, injuring 3’ suggested there was chaos on the scene following the shots being fired.
There is no excuse for this, if you want to talk about reasons to confiscate someones guns, firing a live round off in a crowd, during a protest that features seemingly opposite minded militias is probably on page one.

Fox also reported: One of the members of the NFAC spoke to throngs of protesters and said “we had a little accident, it happens,” the reporter said.
Yeah, no, it does not just happen and making light of the situation is the most absurd, ridiculous, and irresponsible thing I’ve read all day. The guy who had the ND is the luckiest man in the world just because he did not actually kill anyone with his criminal negligence.
Of course ‘reporters’, with less than zero knowledge about guns tweeted out nonsense, such as this guy, Chris Kenning:
‘Downtown Louisville today. A lot of people who aren’t police or military with assault rifles, handguns, multiple ammo clips and knives as two opposing militias come to town’

Yeah, soooo, those are more than likely not ‘assault rifles’ and they are not carrying ‘clips’ … unless you see someone with an M1 Garand or an old school rifle that actually takes ‘clips’ … which I don’t see in this image. The rifles these guys are holding are more than likely semi automatic sporting rifles which accept magazines … but if you are reading this you likely already knew that.
Ignorance isn’t cool, nor is making excuses for the most irresponsible and dangerous behavior on the planet: playing with guns. The morals of the story are: unless you know what you are doing don’t carry a gun, if your buddies are carrying guns and don’t know what they are doing, get out of there, or better yet make sure their weapon is clear for them, then get the hell out of there.
