David Harris Jr Banned From Flying With American Airlines [VIDEO]

About three weeks ago, David Harris Jr and his wife were on an American Airlines flight heading from San Francisco to Dallas, where a couple on the flight had an issue with David not wearing a mask.  David has a medical reason for not wearing a mask, and the airline had a medical exemption in their policies that covers David’s medical reason for not wearing a mask.

At the time, the pilot, Steve Ash, was informed and he came back to speak with the passengers.  Takeoff was held up while the pilot took the time to speak to the people who had a problem with David and his bride Jennifer not wearing a mask.

David filmed as the incident was in progress.

WATCH:

Airline policy said that a person that claims they have a medical condition does not have to wear a mask.  David and Jennifer were within the policy guidelines as they did have a medical condition. No one ever asked what their condition was, which is irrelevant anyhow.

The people on the flight were informed that everything was within the rules and the plane eventually took off.  David was not the one who caused a delay, rather, it was the people who filed a complaint about him not wearing a mask.  This is important to point out, because had David not had a medical exemption, he would have been wrong to not wear the mask.

About a week later David got an email from American Airlines telling him that the policy had changed, and that medical exemptions would no longer be allowed.

David booked another American flight to head to Colorado Springs, and on that flight he and his bride wore a mask.  The only time they took off their masks was when they were eating or drinking, which is airline policy, because everyone knows that the virus does not affect you when you’re eating or drinking, just like the virus doesn’t attack peaceful protesters.  #EyeRoll

At one point, David was still eating, but he wanted to rest his eyes for a bit, so he placed his hat over his face to act as a mask while he leaned his head back to rest for a minute before finishing his meal.

I don’t think any virus would dare attempt to break through a MAGA hat!  But I digress.

Anyway, David was approached by a flight attendant and asked to put his mask back on, and he did so.  Problem solved.  No incident occurred.  The whole thing was over less than a minute with a hat on his head.  He thought nothing of it.

But, then David received another email from American Airlines, only this time they informed him that he was banned from flying on the airline.  Are you kidding me?

The ban notification email said that David did not comply with American Airline policies.  Wait, what?

The email also stated that he was being uncooperative with the flight crew.  How was he being uncooperative with the flight crew?  He removed his mask so that he could eat his meal.  He placed his hat over his face for a short period of time to take up as a mask, ready to resume his meal in a moment.   That’s no different from sitting back for a minute to let your food digest a little bit before you finish.  He wasn’t ending his time eating, he was simply taking a moment.  As soon as the flight attendant asked him to put his mask back on, he did.  Where was he uncooperative?

And remember, the first flight where a couple complained, David was advised that he was fine, because airline policy said that David’s medical condition exempted him from wearing a mask.  He didn’t have to comply with anything, because he wasn’t in violation of anything.  That’s important to remember in case the airline tries to claim they had a problem with him in the past.

The pilot from the first flight, who came out to speak to people about it, let David know that he was sticking up for his rights.  David appreciated that, and once the incident was over, and the plane took off, he thought that was that.  But that was not that.

They cite Colorado Springs flight as an “incident” that he was never told was an incident, and they claim they did an investigation when they never informed him they were doing an investigation.  There was no incident on the Colorado Spring flight.

His wife also had her mask off while eating at the same time as David.  She didn’t get banned.  Why is that?

In American Airlines’ first email they said they considered David to be one of their “most valued customers.”  Is this how they treat most valued customers?

After receiving the banning email, David received another one from the same source with a message of a Recall for the previous email.  The email included a Reference #.  A recalled on an email usually means the sender didn’t want to send it, so now David was curious.  He called American Airlines to speak with a manager and pretty much got nowhere.

So, when it next flight came, he went to the ticket counter and lo and behold, after speaking with 3 other people, he was finally informed that there was a “situation,” and that he is no longer allowed to fly with American Airlines.

WATCH:

Since there is really no incident where David did not comply with flight attendants or with Airline policies or rules, the only thing I can think of is he is a black man in America wearing a Trump Make America Great Again hat and face mask.  Remember, David had an exemption afforded by American Airlines during the first flight.  And he was eating a meal during the second flight when the flight attendant asked him to put his mask back on, and he complied right away.  He fully cooperated.  There was no reason to ban him, except maybe because he’s a black, Christian, Trump supporting male.  Could whoever goofed up the computer records at American Airlines have been a woke Trump-hating employee?
