Durham and Barr Make a Move, Clinesmith to Plead Guilty to Falsifying Information

A major announcement was expected to be made Friday, that US Attorney General William Barr said on Sean Hannity show Thursday night would not be “earthshattering, but set the groundwork that the investigation [into Spygate] was moving forward”.

We now know that one of the players, an Anti-Trump lawyer, Kevin Clinesmith,  who was involved in what is being called  Spygate will plead guilty to falsifying a FISA warrant.

“I am so stressed about what I could have done differently,” Clinesmith wrote in a text uncovered by an Inspector General’s report.

“Mr. Clinesmith had provided the unchanged C.I.A. email to Crossfire Hurricane agents and the Justice Department lawyer drafting the original wiretap application,” the New York Times reported.

Mollie Hemingway from the Federalist reported, “Kevin Clinesmith, reportedly pleading guilty today, was the FBI “Resistance” figure who worried at the time of Trump’s election that his anti-Trump spying actions would get him in legal trouble. They did.”

Clinesmith is the first individual to be charged as part of U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the efforts in 2016 and 2017 to spy on the Trump campaign and Trump administration.

Both Durham and Attorney General William Barr stated at the conclusion of the OIG investigation of the Page FISA warrants that they had reason to believe the entire investigation of Trump, which allegedly began in late July of 2016, was not legally predicated. Durham was tapped by Barr in May of 2019 to investigate the Russian collusion hoax and determine whether any criminal charges against those who perpetrated it were warranted.

Enablers of the “administrative state” were unsure if anyone had been charged with falsifying evidence:

Clinsmith’s fears were justified. Revealed also was a text by Clinesmith  exclaiming: “Viva le Resistance.”

“Plus, my god damned name is all over the legal documents investigating his staff,” wrote Clinesmith, who is referred to as “FBI Attorney 2” in the June 2018 report.

Thi story is developing…
