Fauci Gives In-Person Voting a Thumbs Up for November

Dr. Fauci is now saying that there is “no reason” why voting this November can’t be in-person.

In an interview with ABC News, Fauci said that if proper safety precautions are taken, then mail-in voting is not necessary:

“I think if carefully done, according to the guidelines, there’s no reason that I can see why that not be the case.”

Fauci supported his position by noting the various industries across American that are already having large crowds but with safety precautions in place:

“For example, you know, when you look at going to a grocery store now in many regions and counties and cities that are doing it correctly, they have X’s every six or more feet. And it says, ‘Don’t leave this spot until the person in front of you left their spot.’ And you can do that, if you go and wear a mask, if you observe the physical distancing, and don’t have a crowded situation, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to do that.”

He further noted that people who are “compromised physically” should have the opportunity for a mail-in option if they wish.

Fauci later doubled-down saying again that “there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to vote in person or otherwise.”

On a related matter, a photo of Fauci with his face mask around his chin surfaced causing people to question the validity of his safety recommendations.

In the picture, Fauci is seen with his wife and friend who both had masks properly secured. Fauci also had a bottle of water with him where he was seated.

Fauci explained the picture to Fox News White House Corresponded John Roberts saying that he was drinking water and thus didn’t have his mask on at that moment and that media outlets who criticized him were being mischievous.
