ABC/Washington Post Poll Shows Kamala Harris Is Having Little To No Effect On Voters – Did Anything Think She Would?
A majority of Americans say that having Senator Kamala Harris on the Democratic presidential ticket won’t make a hill of beans difference in how they vote, according to a poll that was released on Monday.
The country is so polarized now thanks to the Democratic Party it’s difficult to find someone who doesn’t already know who they are voting for. The most unbelievable thing is that the Democrats are calling their 2020 convention “Uniting America.” Using that headline is like someone killing his parents and then pleading for mercy from the court because he’s an orphan.
Seventy-one percent of those polled said the California senator won’t impact their choice, while 17 percent said her appearance makes them more likely to vote for the Democratic ticket and 10 percent said it makes them less likely to vote for the Democrats, in line with an ABC News/Washington Post poll.
There’s something very unlikable about Harris. Be it her nasally voice, the way she so comfortably lies about everything, how she lives in the History of Now, forget what I said yesterday, or that she has made a career out of opportunism,
The survey, released on the first day of the Democratic National Convention, additionally reveals that enthusiasm has been building for former vice president Joe Biden, with those supporting him rising to 48 percent from 28 percent in March.
President Donald Trump leads him with 65 percent strong enthusiasm, probably because he hasn’t spent 50 years in Washington with nothing to show for it.
Even so, it’s difficult to believe that Biden is leading the president 53 to 41 among registered voters and 54 to 44 percent with likely voters. I don’t believe that for a minute. Trump has never been easy to poll. And it’s going to be worse for the pollsters this time around, because so many people who are going to vote for Trump are afraid to admit it to a stranger on the phone who knows their name and where they live. They don’t want the Democratic Party’s shock troops showing up on their front lawn.
Seventy-one percent of Trump supporters said they continue to support him while 26 percent said they oppose Biden.
Among Biden supporters, 38 percent back him while 59 percent oppose Trump.
In response to the poll, 54 percent say Harris is qualified to take over as president if something happens to Biden, the same amount who say Vice President Mike Pence could step in for Trump.
A random national sample of 1,001 adults was conducted between August 12th and the 15th with a plus or minus margin of error of 3.5 percent..
