Nick Sandmann to Speak at Republican National Convention

Covington High School student Nicholas Sandmann will be speaking at this year’s Republican National Convention.

Sandmann tweeted out his excitement early Tuesday morning:

“I can’t tell you all enough about how excited I am to be apart of this year’s RNC!”

The embattled student is known as the target of defamation from many leading outlets such as CNN, New York Times, and The Washington Post.

In 2019, Sandmann and his colleagues were outside of the Lincoln Memorial after the annual March for Life when they were approached by a native American, Nathan Phillips, who began beating his drum.

The students danced along to the music and one camera angle captured Sandmann staring at Phillips in what was described as a form of mockery.

The students, including Sandmann, had MAGA hats on.

Before the students’ busses returned to their hometown, the video had gone viral along with articles that accused Sandmann of mocking Phillips. Covington High School even said they are looking into disciplinary actions towards the students.

Luckily over the next couple of days more video surfaced which showed the entire story and that ultimately relieved the students of any wrong-doing while also providing grounds for defamation cases, some of which have been settled in Sandmann’s favor.
