The man believed to be responsible for the violent racial attacks on a White man in Portland Oregon on Sunday, turned himself in after seeing photos of himself beating the victim in such a brutal beat down that many people believed the victim had died right in the street.

“A man suspected in a downtown beating that left a man bloody and unconscious in the street after he crashed a truck during a confrontation that unfolded near a downtown Portland demonstration is now in custody.

Marquise Love, 25, turned himself in and was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on Friday morning, according to Portland police. He’s accused of felony assault, coercion and rioting and is being held on $260,000 bail,” Oregon live reported.

Adam Haner was identified as the victim.

“I wasn’t trying to do anything but get a drink,” Adam Haner told KATU of the vicious attack that started outside a 7-Eleven and left him with head wounds, three broken ribs and two black eyes.

“I wasn’t the enemy, I’ll tell you that. I was just the guy standing there, and I was white, evidently,” he said of his brutal attack by BLM protesters.

While he was not part of the ongoing protests in Portland, Haner told KPTV that he had previously marched in BLM protests.

Reporter Andy Ngo, who chronicles the members of Antifa, and arrests made in the Portland uprisings, posted about Love.

The video of Love beating Harner went viral because of the severe brutality of the attack, also because of the irony that Harner at the time of being beaten unconscious, had stopped his car for a crowd of protestors, dragged from his truck after trying to protect a vulnerable friend, and kicked viciously by Love, who was wearing a “safety vest”.
