Tennessee Church Vandalized With ‘Burn In Hell’ Message By Protesters To Upcoming Visitor
If you’ve been paying any kind of attention at all, you may have noticed a trend that has all but been completely ignored by any of the mainstream media outlets. That trend is something we all should be speaking out against, as it is a point-blank attack against our First Amendment rights.
Numerous attempts have been made in recent weeks to restrict or completely shut down churches, such as forbidding group meetings, or severely limiting the size of the groups allowed, along with the prohibition of singing in any meeting, to name a few of the specifics.
The First Amendment reads “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
Oddly enough, the masses of people involved in the nationwide proliferation of “protests” sparked by the George Floyd incident and other places such as casinos are good to go…so why are churches being singled out as “non-essential” or “unsafe” for people to meet in larger groups?
In at least one instance a pastor in Florida, Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne, was arrested and put in jail for holding a service in spite of the fact that the meeting place has a hospital-grade air filtration system with a price tag of nearly $100,000 in operation, plus the staff and attendees were using protective gloves, were following hand sanitizing practices, social distancing, and wearing masks.
Because Dr. Howard-Brown stood his ground on the First Amendment, the charges were ultimately dropped, and his fines were returned to him as well.
Furthermore, I should also mention that after his arrest, Dr. Howard-Browne’s social media accounts were promptly flooded with tens of thousands of death threats against them if the church was opened for meetings again. It’s a whole new level of derangement exhibited by people falling for the hysterical fear-mongering being promoted by the far-left deep state and the complicit MSM news.
Another popular pastor from Tennessee, Greg Locke, of the Global Vision Bible Church, has been the recipient of not only numerous profanity-laced phone calls, but the walls have been vandalized by spray-painted messages advising them they will Burn In Hell. The reason? It’s because next week the guest speaker at GVBC will be none other than Roger Stone. Yes, the same Roger Stone who received clemency from President Trump after being (in my opinion, unjustly) sentenced to 40 months in prison.
From the Gateway Pundit:
As this GP reporter first shared a few months ago, Stone fully recommitted himself to God during an outdoor sermon from world famous evangelist Franklin Graham. Stone is expected to tell that story and more on August 30th at Locke’s church. He will also apologize for certain mistakes in his life and quote scripture.
“Like most decent people, I am disgusted by this assault on a place of worship by the crazed left. I will not be intimidated out of witnessing for Jesus Christ and will be there on August 30th. Pastor Greg Locke is a man of great courage and threats against us only strengthen our resolve to praise the Lord and to pray for America’s salvation.”
I agree wholeheartedly that American Christians need to get off their behinds and onto their knees and do two things: first of all, REPENT for our sins, and secondly, PRAY for our country as detailed in 2 Chronicles 7:14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
