CNN’s Anderson Cooper Let’s Guest MD Say It’s Okay for Protesters To Gather in DC, Because Their Event is Important [VIDEO]
Unbelievable hypocrisy like this has been express in the past by many wokety woke woke so-called “experts,” however, I don’t know if it’s ever been made as flagrantly as this. The clip actually starts off with a condemnation of the gathering at the White House Thursday night as something that should definitely be condemned.
But then it pivots into a dialogue of the even larger gathering that happened in Washington, DC on Friday, and all of a sudden the rules of pandemic management just disappear. That’s because the event in DC was an approved ideological event for the woke crowd. Yes, there might be infections, Dr. Rob Davidson allows. However, that’s okay, because the pandemic that’s brought the nation to its knees by allowing politicians to put us into a years-long recession, killed 170,000+ individuals, and inflicted unimaginable psychological distress on billions of people around the world is a much less urgent public-health crisis than racism.
Abortion is a public-health disaster too. Suicide, alcoholism, domestic violence, all things doomed to surge during mass lockdowns, are public-health disasters. Not one of these woke morons would have the slightest reservation condemning mass anti-abortion or anti-lockdown rallies right now for irresponsibly risking an outbreak by holding a mass gathering. In fact, they already have. Remember when small business owners were reopening their businesses and catching heat from Democrat mayors and governors?
These leftists are carving out an exemption for the March on Washington because they agree with its politics. And their politics allow them to think that the virus is an intelligent and woke virus that won’t harm people who agree with their ideology. As one of the Twitter replies to the clip below said, the logic here purely and simply is “it’s okay when we do it.” That seems to be the Democratic Party’s motto: “The Democrats, it’s okay when we do it.”
Cooper didn’t even mention to his audience that his guess was a former Democratic candidate for Congress, instead passing him off as a neutral, unbiased MD. CNN did a disservice to their viewers by not doing so, because now people who watched the segment might believe all doctors believe the same things, instead of realizing that this guy was a partisan political hack. Well, I guess that’s understandable, because Anderson Cooper, in my opinion, isn’t a real news guy, he himself is a partisan political hack.
It’s incredibly irresponsible to excuse mass gatherings with a wink and a nod on a day when we’re discovering that not only can one get reinfected by CV-19, but that hey’ll develop severe symptoms from that reinfection. You’re not assured to have a mild case next time if you’ve beaten the illness and developed some kind of immunity from the past. How many people at Friday’s rally have beaten CV-19 once already and are running around mistakenly in the assumption that they’re protected now?
The CV-19 antigen test that America’s been waiting for is finally here:
A CV-19 test that takes 15 minutes and can be run without lab equipment was just granted emergency use authorization by the Food and Drug Administration. It will cost $5, and runs on a simple card that uses the same technology as a pregnancy test…
The company said in a press release that it plans to produce 50 million tests per month by October.
The process isn’t any more complicated than swabbing the nasal passage and inserting it into a slot on the “card.” In the case that you are positive, an indicator appears no different from a home pregnancy test, except in this case you won’t be buying a crib and special wallpaper. The test can be given at doctor’s offices, in schools, even at home, if the FDA approves it, and Abbott claims it’s accurate 97 percent of the time. If they had the manufacturing capacity to provide every American with a two-month supply, the feds would find it much more cost-effective to scrap the next round of stimulus payouts and just redirect the funding for that. At $5 a test, it would cost a little under $100 billion, a song relative to the multi-trillion-dollar package that’s being debated right now. With every American testing themselves every morning and quarantining if they test positive, we’d have a grip on community spread inside of weeks not months or years. Some scientists are advocating exactly that approach to crush the pandemic.
Sadly, neither Abbott nor anybody else can make that many tests. But we are able to get their cheap tests to the people who need them most, which is precisely what Donald Trump and his team want to do. The feds are set to buy 150 million tests from Abbott and distribute them to “nursing homes, schools and other areas with populations at high risk.”
