Netflix Finally Makes Statement About Feminist Muslim Filmmaker’s ‘Cuties,’ Glorifying Child Sex, Tells Americans To Watch The Movie [Opinion]
Netflix is experiencing the wrath of many average, everyday, Americans following their airing of the controversial ‘film’ ‘Cuties. Hashtags flooded Twitter which suggested that subscribers cancel their Netflix subscription over the much-anticipated movie, which is said to depict young girls in very sexual poses and simulating, ‘you know, the thing.’
This is not the first time Netflix has had to apologize over the movie. Earlier in the year the employer of the Obama’s was forced to issue an apology over the overtly sexual movie posters, which featured children. However, that didn’t stop the leftist streaming service from releasing the movie in August.
Nextflix had issued a statement, “We’re deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork that we used for Mignonnes/Cuties,’ a Netflix spokesperson said. “It was not OK, nor was it representative of this French film which won an award at Sundance. We’ve now updated the pictures and description.”
Maïmouna Doucouré won a distinguished directing award for Cuties when the film debuted at Sundance in January. However, once the America public, which has historically been enraged by the sexualization of children, saw scenes from the film months later, the film’s creator found herself in the middle of a firestorm.
First, Netflix released a shocking poster for its English-speaking audience. The poster showed a sexualized image of young girls that many Americans were sickened by. Netflix has apologized for its failure, however Doucouré claims that she has been the recipient of numerous death threats and personal attacks because of the incident.
In recent days, the hashtag #CancelNetflix has trended in response to American audiences being exposed to scenes from the film which critics claim sexualize children. However, many on the left have told those who are offended by the film’s close ups of pre pubescent girls ‘twerking’ and dancing in a sexual manner, that they are out of touch and part of some right wing prude outfit.

Beyonce is a controversial singer, rapper and dancer, who was highly promoted by former President Barack Obama and his wife Michele Obama as a role model for young girls. The pop star’s dancing, which in many instances is highly sexually suggestive, is copied in ‘Cuties,’ by very young girls. The pre teens appear to simulate her bizarre, highly sexual dance style. This is something which way too many on the left applaud.
“Netflix, amid a massive backlash over the recently released drama “Cuties” is encouraging critics to watch the movie — which it says makes a statement about pressures young girls face in conforming to societal role models of female sexuality, “Fox News reported.
The backlash was enough to induce Netflix to make the following comment to Variety Magazine.
Variety reported Friday, “Cuties’ is a social commentary against the sexualization of young children, a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement to Variety. It’s an award-winning film and a powerful story about the pressure young girls face on social media and from society more generally growing up — and we’d encourage anyone who cares about these important issues to watch the movie.”
Yes, remember, films that feature pre teens behaving like soft core porn stars are ‘social commentary against the sexualization of children.’ That is peak ‘doublespeak,’ if you ask me.
Perhaps many Americans just don’t understand the background of the movie, because the movie was not made by an American, with American values.. To most Americans sexualizing children is wrong, the fact that this sickness is now being defended by the political left in this country and, of course, Hollywood, should make one think long and hard about the direction we want to chose in November.
