LA Rioters Blocked Hospital, Shouting “We hope they die” while Medics Tried to save Officers, one Rioter Called Herself “Press”
LA County Sheriff’s Office reported that one male and one female deputy were ambushed in their car in Compton, were in critical condition, and were in surgery.
The woman is a 31-year-old mother, with a 6-year-old, and the man is 24 years old. Both shot in the head according to local news. The two officers had both just been sworn to duty, 14 months ago.
Before that announcement had been made, medics had to work their way thru a mob who were attempting to block the hospital entrance, and prevent the officers from getting treatment, and the rioters were screaming, “We hope they die”.
Law enforcement had to break up violent mobs to get the deputies into the hospital arresting one man, who was then joined by a female rioter, who attempted to obstruct the arrest of the mad, and who called herself “Press”.
One of the tactics of the left is to assign rioters as legal observers or members of the press in hopes they will get special privileges, and those people often obstruct arrests.
Resources are being offered by the FBI to locate the shooter, who is being described as a man by one of the deputies.
“LASD sources tell me both deputies were in their vehicle when they were both shot in the head and that this was a “straight ambush”. LASD working on suspect info.here have been rumors that one of the deputies passed away. I heard some of the same talk, but my sources are telling me that is incorrect, that both are still alive and recovering. Sheriff Villanueva is holding a press conference at 10pm, so we will find out soon,” said. Bill Melugin, a Fox News correspondent reported.
A Statement from the LA Police Department read ,”Moments ago, 2 of our Sheriff Deputies were shot in Compton and were transported to a local hospital. They are both still fighting for their lives, so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We will update this thread with information as it becomes available.”
Local ABC News said, “Two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies are “fighting for their lives” after they were shot in the head in an ambush at the Metro station in Compton, officials say. The incident happened Saturday at the Metro Blue Line station at Willowbrook Avenue and Compton Boulevard around 7 p.m. The location is a short distance from the Compton sheriff’s station.”
Surveillance video of the shooting shows the suspect ambush the deputies as they sat in the patrol vehicle.
A man clad in dark clothing walks up to the parked vehicle at the Metro station, approaches the window on the passenger’s side and fires several times at close range. The suspect then runs off on foot. One deputy is seen emerging from the passenger side and stumbling around on foot for several seconds before the video ends.
Both deputies sustained multiple gunshot wounds and underwent surgery at a local hospital. They were described as alive but in critical condition.
“That was a cowardly act,” Sheriff Alex Villanueva said. “The two deputies were doing their job, minding their own business, watching out for the safety of the people on the train.”
