Congressman Calls for Election Bribery Probe Against Mike Bloomberg After Paying Florida Felons’ Fines for Biden Votes [Opinion]

Rep Matt Gaetz is pressing for an investigation of Michael Bloomberg for his involvement in spending 21 million dollars to pay the fines of, and bail out 32,000 felons in order to make them eligible to vote.

We don’t know how many will actually vote, but we do believe that criminals are an important part of the Democratic base. Even more so now that so many of Democrats openly admit they want to ‘defund the police.’  They keep interfering with their job. Without the police, criminals can do what criminals do, and their getaways will become much smoother.

Gaetz says that he has spoken with Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, and bribing people to get their vote is also a federal crime.  Will Bill Barr take the case?

Bloomberg raised $16 million dollars and kicked in $5 million of his own money for the scheme. Previously, he had pledged $100 million dollars to deliver the Sunshine State to Joe Biden. Tin my view, this shows intent. If it was his intent to buy their votes it, seems pretty clear to me what this was a crime. However, needless to say, he’s rich and now a Democrat, so I don’t expect anything to happen to him no matter how many laws he has broken.

From Fox News

Under the Florida state constitution, convicted felons can regain their voting rights after having served their time. However, a law enacted by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis states that felons must pay all fines, restitution, and other legal financial obligations before their sentences could be considered fully served.

[Under Florida law] it’s a third-degree felony for someone to either directly or indirectly provide something of value to impact whether or not someone votes,” Gaetz explained. “So the question is whether or not paying off someone’s fines and legal obligations counts as something of value, and it clearly does.

“If Michael Bloomberg was offering to pay off people’s credit card debt,” Gaetz added, “you would obviously see the value in that.

“[W]hen you improve someone’s net worth by eliminating their financial liabilities, that’s something of value,” he went on. “Normally, it would be very difficult to prove that that was directly linked to impacting whether or not someone was going to vote. But they literally wrote their own admission.”

Speaking about intent, here is a quote from Bloomberg, “We know to win Florida we will need to persuade, motivate and add new votes to the Biden column. This means we need to explore all avenues for finding the needed votes when so many votes are already determined.”

The Democrats are stopping at nothing to win the election, but does that include breaking the law? In this instance, it sure feels that way. The left never lets the law get in the way of their purpose. Right, Hillary?

It will be interesting to see if all the felons who had their debt paid off were ‘Black.’  Black Floridians have historically voted overwhelmingly for Democrats. That would further the case for intent. But, will that be enough?

It all adds up, but once again, he is a Democrat but both state and federal prosecutors are Republicans. Bloomberg could become the exception to the rule.

Gaetz wrote:

“The law is clear this is something of value, and I am encouraged after my conversation with the attorney general. I hope we have good law enforcement all over the country looking for the cheating and the tricks that these Democrats are going to try in this election.”

I pray that we have free and fair elections.  I hope the Democrats do as well.
