The Left Doesn’t Want You To Hear What Late Ruth Bader Ginsburg Had to Say About Kaepernick and Disrespecting the Flag, Before She ‘Bent The Knee’
[Opinion]. As the American Left seeks to curry favor with voters by publicizing the alleged dying wish of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, perhaps we should consider some of the justice’s other wisdom… wisdom we don’t have to take anyone else’s word for because we have a video of her comments.
American cities are burning due in large part to the Marxist insurgency being led by Black Lives Matter. The violent movement seeks to erase American history as we know it. In fact, it pretty much calls for the end of Western civilization.
Initially, the face of Black Lives Matter was San Francisco Forty-Niners’ quarterback Colin Kaepernick who used his NFL platform to begin targeting cops and calling them pigs.
Kaepernick began kneeling during the playing of the national anthem and wearing socks that depicted police officers as pigs.
Thanks to Kaepernick the nation became divided and as time progressed the movement to disparage our country and its history was seized upon by Democrats and by anarchists and greatly expanded into violent rioting for political benefit.
Now, as Democrats mourn the passing of RBG and demand that we respect her wishes, it’s worth taking note of what she had to say about Kaepernick and purposefully disrespecting the flag.
We turn to an interview she gave to Katie Couric in 2016…
Couric asks the justice how she feels about Colin Kaepernick and other players taking a knee…
RBG: “I think it’s really dumb of them,”
“Would I arrest them for doing it? No. I think it’s dumb and disrespectful. I would have the same answer if you asked me about flag burning. I think it’s a terrible thing to do, but I wouldn’t lock a person up for doing it. I would point out how ridiculous it seems to me to do such an act.”
When Couric pressed the justice on the matter, saying it’s the player’s right to protest, she remained undeterred…
RBG: “Yes. If they want to be stupid, there’s no law that should be preventive. If they want to be arrogant, there’s no law that prevents them from that. What I would do is strongly take issue with the point of view that they are expressing when they do that.”
If members of the Democrat Party that are today demanding we honor her dying wishes had listened to her back then, perhaps the cities they manage would have avoided a civil war and an estimated $1-2 billion in property destruction and dozens of deaths.
I would love to tell you that RBG stood her ground, however, it would not be true. Soon after, she ‘bent the knee.’ CNN reported ‘Ruth Bader Ginsburg apologizes to Colin Kaepernick after criticizing anthem protest.’
‘Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said on Friday she was “inappropriately dismissive and harsh” in a recent interview when she said she thought it was “really dumb” for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and others to refuse to stand for the national anthem.
>In a statement released by the court’s public information officer, Ginsburg said she had been “barely aware of the incident or its purpose” and that she should have “declined to respond” when asked the question by Yahoo’s Katie Couric.
‘Some of you have inquired about a book interview in which I was asked how I felt about Colin Kaepernick and other NFL players who refused to stand for the national anthem,” Ginsburg said. “Barely aware of the incident or its purpose, my comments were inappropriately dismissive and harsh. I should have declined to respond.”
