Trump Landed a Knockout Punch in Final Debate Asking Biden ‘Who built the cages, Joe?’
It seemed during Thursday night’s final presidential debate that the moderator did her research for all topics that hurt Donald Trump. That’s okay, because that’s how it is in today’s left-wing biased mainstream media.
There were server things that Trump got Biden to say that probably hurt Biden with either or both sides of his base, the radical progressive wing run by Bernie Sanders, AOC, and others, and the less crazy moderate Democrats who have fallen for Joe Biden’s persona of being a nice guy. For example, when Biden blurted out that he never once said that he was going to ban fracking and that Trump was lying about it, you could sense millions of Americans cringing, because that Biden lie was incredibly easy to debunk.
When he said, President Trump responded by reminding Biden that he was on tape saying he was going to end fracking. Biden then doubled down and said “show the video” and Trump promised he would put it up on his website, and Biden had the look on his face someone gets when they just won a huge argument and everyone knows it. Except, there was just one problem. Trump came through minutes after the debate and tweeted out a montage video of Biden saying he would get rid of fracking.
I did my own tweets on the subject last night:
There were many other lies Biden told during the debate Thursday night, but one huge whopper is what may have changed a lot of minds in who they were going to vote for on November 3rd. And that was when the question was asked about over 500 illegal alien children who cannot find their parents. The question was thrown as a softball for Biden and designed to stir up anger at Trump for putting kids in cages. Remember that whole false narrative?
Well, the president hit Joe over the head with a question he wasn’t prepared to answer.
“Who built the cages, Joe?”
Joe Biden had no answer, because he knew it was done under the Obama administration.
The back and forth started when former Biden ridiculed Trump for separating illegal alien children from their parents at the border.
Trump immediately pointed out that separating children from their parents at the border and putting them in cages was an Obama-era policy that the Trump administration got rid of with an executive order.
“These 500-plus kids came with parents. They separated them at the border to make it a disincentive to come to begin with,” Biden said.
“They got separated from their parents, and it makes us a laughingstock and violates every notion of who we are as a nation,” he added.
That’s when Trump hit Biden with the knockout punch of the night.
“They did it, we changed the policy,” Trump responded.
“Who built the cages, Joe?”
Trump also pointed out that many of the children came to our southern border without their parents. They were brought by coyotes who smuggle people in through human trafficking routes, and many other adults would grab a kid to make it appear that it was their child, so that American border authorities would let them in and wait inside the country for their hearing.
Speaking directly to moderator, NBC News journalist Kristen Welker, Trump went on to explain the nature of his administration’s border facilities before hammering Biden some more over the Obama administration’s use of cages to house migrant children.
“Kristen, I will say this, they went down, we brought reporters, everything. They are so well taken care of. They’re in facilities that were so clean,” Trump continued.
“But just ask one question: Who built the cages? I’d love you to ask him that. Who built the cages, Joe?”
Biden had no answer for the question.
Trump also mentioned that during the whole “kids in cages!” false narrative by liberals a couple years ago, they posted pictures of illegal children sleeping inside cages, only to find out that the photos were taken in 2014 during the Obama-Biden administration.
The Trump campaign War Room Twitter account posted during the debate:
“These photos of “kids in cages” were taken while Joe Biden was Vice President. #Debates2020“
Back in August, former first lady Michelle Obama was fact-checked by The Associated Press after accusing Trump of throwing children into cages but failing to mention that the “very same ‘cages’ were built and used in her husband’s administration, for the same purpose of holding migrant kids temporarily.”
Truth be told, the Obama administration made a policy where illegal children would be kept in the same cells with their illegal alien parents. Obama said it was a disincentive action taken that should discourage other parents from south of the border from bringing their children with them. I personally believe it was done for the exact opposite reason. I think the Obama administration wanted people south of the border to believe they would be allowed to stay with their kids if they got caught illegally sneaking over our border and were held in detention. Nevertheless, a court ruled that the children could not be housed with their parents, which is why the kids started being separated in the first place. The Democrats have been acting ever since like the Trump administration is the first to separate children at the border. It’s nonsense. But, Trump is the one who ended that.
