Colin Kaepernick Is Now Demanding The Release Of A Notorious Convicted Cop Killer

Opinion| Former NFL quarterback and leftist social icon, Colin Kaepernick is on a new mission. This time he is calling for the release of convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. Colin, says that Jamal, who was sentenced to death in 1981, for the murder of Philadelphia police officer, Daniel Faulkner, was framed.

It comes as little surprise that a man who would wear these socks would be lobbying for the release of a convicted cop killer:

Kaepernick said:

“Mumia was shot, brutalized, arrested, and chained to a hospital bed.”

“We’re in the midst of a movement that says Black Lives Matter, and if that’s truly the case, then it means that Mumia’s life and legacy must matter. And the causes that he sacrificed his life and freedom for must matter as well.”

Breitbart reported that ‘Mumia Abu-Jamal’s brother, William Cook, was pulled over in a routine traffic stop in 1981 by officer Faulkner. Abu-Jamal, who was a member of the militant Black Panthers at the time, was also on the scene and drew a gun and shot the officer in the back. Then, as the officer lay bleeding on the ground, Abu-Jamal brutally shot the wounded officer in the face. Afterward, Abu-Jamal reportedly told police that he shot officer Faulkner and that he hoped the officer would die. Abu-Jamal was convicted of the murder based, in part, on the eye-witness accounts of four people.’

Kaepernick claims that Jamal has maintained his innocence since his arrest and that his story has not changed.

As reported by Newsbusters,:

Employed by a radio station, Abu-Jamal was a member of the Black Panthers. During a routine traffic stop in Philadelphia in 1981, Faulkner stopped a vehicle belonging to Abu-Jamal’s younger brother William Cook,” the outlet reported. “A physical confrontation ensued, and Abu-Jamal, who was nearby at the time, shot Faulkner in the back and in the face, the latter shot while the officer lay bleeding on the ground. Four witnesses testified to this.”

“Abu-Jamal was also shot in the confrontation and, while recovering in a hospital, admitted he shot the policeman and said he hoped Faulkner would die.”

If I were Jamal, I wouldn’t want Colin to be the one waving my banner.  The fact that Kaepernick has been so anti-cop and anti-reality is really a disservice for Jamal, as many people will just assume his guilt without even looking into the facts because of their distain for Colin.

To be clear, I am not making a judgment about his guilt, I was not there, I just do not think the association with Colin helps Jamal as much as Kaepernick thinks it does.
