Growing Calls From Congress to Pass ‘You Must Be Alive To Vote Act of 2020’, Investigate Illegal Votes and Appoint Special Counsel
The amount of corruption in the US Voting System has grown to the point that some members of Congress want to pass a bill that states a person must be alive to vote, and that should pretty much sum up the state of affairs we are up against with demands for more election integrity.
One of those people is Representative Jeff Duncan, who talked about his calls to the President for a list of measures that would add extra integrity, including his bill: H.R.8830 – You Must Be Alive To Vote Act of 2020, requiring States to obtain information from the Social Security Administration on deaths for purposes of voter registration list maintenance.
“I’ve been keeping you updated throughout the post-election process day by day, but I wanted to also provide a comprehensive recap of everything I’ve been doing to support President Trump. I have been in constant communication with the Trump Team as they fight for election integrity, investigate allegations of fraud and abuse, and continue the legal battles in the courts” wrote Duncan.
Proud to cosponsor! Americans depend on secure elections where every legal vote is counted & every illegal vote is thrown out. We need the necessary safeguards in this bill to ensure ballot integrity, eliminate fraud & abuse, & respect the rule of law. Thank you, @RepRalphNorman! https://t.co/F99YVBdnE7— Rep. WE NEED DOJ TO INVESTIGATE
I have made REPEATED demands the Department of Justice to ensure the integrity of the election including calling for a thorough investigation of the substantial allegations fraud and abuse, and for the Attorney General to release ALL details to the public (the House Freedom Caucus held a press conference urging for this as well in solidarity). Our ask is simple and shouldn’t be controversial. Count every LEGAL vote. Throw out every illegal vote. Investigate and prosecute every fraudulent vote. These calls have included the specific issue of voting hardware and software, like Dominion, which may be linked to the irregularities we saw in various states’ election results. Attorney General Barr authorized federal prosecutors to probe the allegations of voter fraud weeks ago, but the lack of action that has since come from the DOJ is not only disappointing, but completely unacceptable. My demands will continue. I won’t back down!
I have taken concerns straight to President Trump and urged him to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate election fraud claims. Since we haven’t seen action from the DOJ, we need the President to make this happen immediately!
UNPRECEDENTED WAVE OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS
The unprecedented number of mail-in ballots this year has opened the door for more fraud and abuse than we’ve ever seen. I have demanded the Postal Inspection Service to fully investigate mail-in voter fraud allegations within the USPS. It’s critical for the Chief Postal Inspector to release to the American people the steps being taken on the allegations of ballot fraud. USPS plays a HUGE role in the integrity of our elections, so we need immediate answers.
I was one of the over 100 Members of Congress that signed the amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in support of the Texas case challenging election procedures in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin. There have been countless misleading reports on the brief, so here are the FACTS:
-Article II, Sec. 1, cl. 2 of the U.S. Constitution clearly states that Presidential Electors must be appointed according to rules established by each state’s LEGISLATURE. But in the months before the 2020 election, those rules were deliberately changed in the Defendant states, not by their LEGISLATURES, but by governors, secretaries of state, election officials, judges and/or private parties.
-The brief requested the U.S. Supreme Court uphold the clear authority of the state legislatures to establish the manner by which electors are appointed, and determine the constitutional validity of any ballots cast under rules and procedures established by actors or public bodies other than state legislatures.
I’m GREATLY disappointed they declined to hear the case, but please know the legal battles are not over.
House Republicans have warned for more than 20 years that the so-called “Motor Voter” law would lead to widespread voter fraud. It simply makes it too easy for people to vote in multiple places or for non-citizens to vote. It’s time for us to revisit that poor decision that House Democrats foisted on America during the Clinton Administration, so I have cosponsored legislation to repeal the motor voter law.
The South Carolina Federal Republican Delegation to the U.S. House of Representatives was in Columbia several weeks ago for a press conference with a unified message: election integrity matters! We discussed legislation we were introducing together, and that legislation is finally here: the Securing And Verifying Elections in (SAVE) America Act.
-Requires proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections.
-Requires voters to present a valid, state-issued photo ID in order to vote in person in federal elections. A copy of the voter’s photo ID will be required when voting by other means, including absentee by mail.
-Reduces overlapping voter registrations. When any voter moves to a new state and applies for a driver’s license or photo ID, the DMV in the new state will be required to ascertain if that individual intends to register to vote in federal elections in his/her new state. If so, the old state’s DMV and state election’s official shall be notified.
-Requires states to check “change of address” data from the United States Postal Service to help identify voters who have moved out of state. It will also require states to work with the Social Security Administration to identify voters who have died since the last federal election.
-Strengthens voting by mail requirements. With the exception of military personnel as well as individuals who have reasonable impediments, the legislation would require a voter to attest that he/she will be unable to vote in person in order to receive and return a ballot by mail in a federal election.
-Improves voter verification for mail-in ballots. For all ballots returned by mail in a federal election, the legislation will require either (1) verification of the voter’s signature by elections officials, (2) a witness signature, or (3) a notarized ballot.
-Increases criminal penalties for mail-in balloting fraud, creates a federal hotline to report fraud in federal elections, and establishes a federal research program on best practices, security, and procedures for federal elections.
We need the necessary safeguards in the SAVE America Act to ensure ballot integrity, eliminate fraud and abuse, and respect the rule of law. The American people depend on secure elections and deserve confidence and faith in the electoral process, which is why this legislation is crucial.

H.Res.1252 – Expressing support for efforts across the country to count every legal vote and to investigate and punish election fraud in the 2020 Presidential election.
H.Res.1256 – Supporting President Trump’s efforts to ensure that every legal vote is counted in the November 2020 Presidential election and to investigate and bring to justice those who perpetrate election fraud.
Every legal vote must be counted. I have signed a letter with 25 fellow @GOP Congressmen-elect to demand an investigation of the irregularities in November’s election. The fight for election integrity is not over. Pray for our nation!
