President Donald J. Trump released a statement from “The Office of 45” on his “Save America stationary,” congratulating Republican Julie Letlow on winning her special election on Saturday, and now she can continue advancing her late husband’s goals of saving their district with Trump’s America First policies.

“Congratulations to Julia Letlow on her BIG win in Louisiana!  Despite running in a field with a dozen candidates, no runoff election is necessary because she received 65% of the vote—an incredible victory.
I am thrilled for Julia and the entire Letlow family.  Luke is looking down proudly from above,” Trump wrote.

FIRST WOMAN TO REPRESENT LA IN US HOUSE- IS A REPUBLICAN WOMAN BACKED BY TRUMP

“This is an incredible moment, and it is truly hard to put into words,” Letlow said. “What was born out of the terrible tragedy of losing my husband, Luke, has become my mission in his honor to carry the torch and serve the good people of Louisiana’s 5th District.”

“Letlow, who lives in rural Richland Parish in northeastern Louisiana, will become the first woman to represent Louisiana in Congress in more than six years.

She will also be the first Republican woman to ever represent Louisiana in Congress, “The Newstar.com reported.

That is an interesting development because the Democrats have insisted that Trump harms women and is a sexist. Once again, they are proved wrong about his “America First” agenda, which clearly includes women.

A ‘SERVANT LEADER’

Letlow’s previous experience, according to her resume: “Executive Assistant to the President for External Affairs and Community Outreach at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.”

NBC NEWS REPORTED:

Julie Letlow has won a special election Saturday in Louisiana, NBC News projected. At the same time, Democratic state Sens. Troy Carter and Karen Carter Peterson advanced to a runoff election in another district.

Voters in the state are filling two vacant House seats in the first special congressional elections of the year.

Letlow ran to replace her late husband, Luke, who was elected in November but died of complications from Covid-19 in December.

Endorsed by former President Donald Trump, Letlow had been favored to win Louisiana’s heavily Republican 5th Congressional District, and she managed to avoid a runoff by surpassing the 50 percent threshold.

Congratulations @jbletlow on tonight’s victory! I know you will carry on the mission, Luke, and you started by serving the people of LA-05 in Congress. Looking forward to working alongside you for the people of Louisiana!” US House Rep Steve Scalise posted.

The news that LA had their first female representative in the US House-made zero headlines by the mainstream media, who usually celebrate such milestones in American culture. One can assume that is because the victory was supported and endorsed by Trump, showing the double standards again of the left.
