MN City Council Candidate Encourages Rioters to Burn Down Wealthy Neighborhoods: “I’m not the greedy one”

A former Minneapolis city employee who is now running for City Council just decided to share a “personal thought” beyond outrageous. It’s radicals like Margarita Ortega who are doing nothing but causing more harm than good for everyone.

Ortega’s comment (see screenshot below) calls for a wealthy area in Minneapolis to be burned down instead of a “poor community.”

Ortega was a policy aide at the Minneapolis City Hall before running for City Council. She also spent ten years working in city government.

In a second post, Ortega said that wealthy neighborhoods “have the insurance and means to rebuild.”

She continued with the class warfare argument anyone wealthy is somehow responsible for people sleeping on the streets:“Division has been created and continues not by my hands. I’m not the greedy one living in million-dollar mansions while people are sleeping in tents and on the street.”

Ortega also believes that we don’t need police:

“The only way forward is abolishing the police. No institution should be allowed to murder in our communities with impunity.”

Has she seen the news about cities that defunded and downsized the police force? Crime has skyrocketed.
