Rumors Are Swirling Meghan Markle Will Replace Feinstein In Senate
As California Governor Gavin Newsom is on the clock to replace the late Senator Dianne Feinstein who passed away earlier in the week, Meghan Markle’s name has been floated around as possible replacement.
Just hours after Sen. Feinstein passed away Democrat circles floated the idea that the Duchess of Sussex could be a possible option to be a temporary replacemt for Feinstein until 2025.
Political commentators however believe it’s highly unlikely Newsom would choose Markle as replacement due to the fact she lacks a political background and has not found much love in California since moving back to the state with her husband Prince Harry.
Megan Markle is reportedly weighing run for California Senator Dianne Feinstein’s Senate seat.

Would you support a Senator Meghan Markle?
Meghan Markle may be considering a run for Senator Dianne Feinstein’s Senate seat.
It’s even possible that Governor Gavin Newsom could appoint her to take Feinstein’s spot.

Check out what The New York Post reported:
Could it be Sen. Meghan Markle?
It’s unlikely the Duchess of Sussex will be tapped to replace Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who died Friday at the age of 90 — but that doesn’t mean the actress-turned-royal won’t toss her hat in the ring, the Daily Mail reports.
Sources told the outlet within minutes of the Senate stalwart’s passing, phones “lit up” with speculation that Markle might look to be appointed to fill the seat until Feinstein’s term expires in January 2025.
Yet despite Markle’s friendship with big-time Dems like Oprah Winfrey and the Kennedy family, there’s little chance of a vault to the Capitol..
“Meghan is definitely a long shot, but in the craziness that is US politics these days it’s not an impossibility,” a major Democratic donor who’s close to California Gov. Gavin Newsom told the news outlet. “Crazier things have happened.”

Rumors that Meghan Markle is among those being considered to replace the late Senator Dianne Feinstein, a California Democrat, have sparked ridicule after the unsubstantiated reports have circulated online.
Following the death of Feinstein, who passed away at the age of 90 on Friday, all the attention has turned to Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom, as he will appoint someone to serve out the remaining 13 months of Feinstein’s term. Markle’s name has been rumored to be thrown into the mix as Feinstein’s potential replacement, The Daily Mail and several other outlets reported.
Feinstein “was a political giant, whose tenacity was matched by her grace. She broke down barriers and glass ceilings, but never lost her belief in the spirit of political cooperation. And she was a fighter—for the city, the state and the country she loved. Every race she won, she made history, but her story wasn’t just about being the first woman in a particular political office, it was what she did for California, and for America, with that power once she earned it. That’s what she should be remembered for,” Newsom said in a statement posted to X, formerly Twitter, following the death of the Democratic senator.
